Truso is a Johannesburg based business owned by Carol Dreyer, a career woman and mother of 2. Her passion is e-commerce and her aim is to provide a website which offers unique South African products for sale online, and to provide an exceptional, personalised service.

The Truso website started off selling the Truso range of designer aprons for ladies and kids. Through the journey of making and selling aprons, Carol came across other uniquely South African companies and products, and the concept of the Truso website as it currently stands came about. Carol strives to ensure that the products for sale on Truso are unique in some way – and they are representative of the beauty and diversity of the country that we live in.   

Truso supports local small business as much as possible. The Truso aprons are made from local 100% cotton of the highest quality, and the production process is managed by a small locally-owned CMT in Joburg. A wonderfully unique business that Truso works closely with is Greatheart Gifts - a community upliftment project. Each Greatheart product has a felt heart attached to it. These hearts are hand-sewn by a group of women in Alexandra Township, South Africa. Each heart is completely unique and made with a lot of love.
